About me

Hi and thank you for visiting my page!

My name is Angela Wylie and I am a professionally trained photographer.  I live in Ullapool with my two children.

I didn’t start my working life as a photographer although it was a well loved hobby.  What may surprise people is that I worked as a police officer in Glasgow for 18 years.  I developed hearing loss and had to move on which took me to Victim Support Scotland. I then had the amazing opportunity to move to Canada where I lived on Prince Edward Island for 9 years.  It was on PEI that I went back to college for two years to earn my Diploma in Photography.  I ran my photography business there until I returned to Scotland to be with family once more.

Ever since I was a young child I have loved looking at old photos and listening to the stories behind them.  There were many fun nights looking through old photo albums and recalling special times with the people that I loved.  I believe that everyone should have quality portraits of themselves and their families.  Your photo shoot experience today becomes a memory tomorrow and a legacy for a lifetime and beyond.  This is why I am passionate about photography.

My approach to photography is to get to know my clients and find out what they want and what style they like.  This often varies from formal portraits to relaxed family gatherings and events.  Whatever you choose, I aim to do so in a relaxed atmosphere  while having fun along the way.
